Sergey Rogovets Custom Tanto #2 M with CPM-S45VN and Titanium Frame

The Sergey Rogovets Custom Tanto #2 M is a preowned, excellent-condition custom tactical folder with the kind of handmade fit, finish, and presentation that makes Rogovets knives stand apart in the custom knife world. Built in October 2021 and marked serial number #2166, this Tanto #2 M features a CPM-S45VN stainless steel tanto blade, 6Al4V titanium frame, black inlay panels, blue titanium backspacer, D2 tool steel lockbar insert, and a bearing pivot system for exceptionally smooth action.

This is a large, refined, and highly capable custom folder. The 4″ tanto blade uses a compound grind with a hollow-ground base and flat-ground tip, giving the knife a powerful cutting profile with the reinforced geometry collectors expect from a serious tanto design. The knife can be deployed by the single thumb stud or the extended front flipper tang, adding versatility without cluttering the design.

Sergey Rogovets Custom Tanto #2 M

The Sergey Rogovets Custom Tanto #2 M measures 9″ overall with a 4″ blade, 3.75″ cutting edge, 5.5″ closed length, and 6.9 oz. weight. The blade is made from CPM-S45VN stainless steel with a satin finish and a 0.153″ blade thickness. The result is a substantial custom folder that feels powerful, precise, and intentionally overbuilt without losing elegance.

The titanium handle has a clean, architectural look with black inlay panels and polished stainless hardware. The copper-ringed pivot detail adds warmth to the otherwise tactical build, while the blue titanium backspacer gives the knife a subtle flash of color when viewed from the spine. The titanium pocket clip is set up for right-hand, tip-up carry.

Handmade Tactical Art from Sergey Rogovets

Sergey Rogovets is a master knifemaker and jeweler based in Madisonville, Kentucky. Originally from Moscow, Rogovets moved to New York City at age 17 and worked alongside his father as a jeweler. That background in jewelry is visible throughout his knife work, especially in the precision details, clean material transitions, and polished presentation that collectors associate with his custom knives.

Under SR Metal Work and the Extreme Addiction name, Rogovets is known for meticulous handmade custom knives, watches, pens, and one-of-a-kind artistic items. His knives have a distinctive balance of elegance and tactical strength. This Tanto #2 M reflects that identity well: bold size, precise action, refined hardware, inlay work, and an industry-leading presentation package with a waterproof case, red maker pouch, paperwork, and Certificate of Authenticity.
