Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Drop Beacon ("EDC4Me," the "Service"), operated at edc4me.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Service Description

Drop Beacon is a product drop tracking platform for the everyday carry (EDC) community. We aggregate product listings from various brands and notify users about new drops. We do not manufacture, sell, or ship any products directly.

Buy / Sell / Trade (BST) Marketplace

Drop Beacon provides a listing platform ("BST") that allows registered users to post items for sale, trade, or wanted-to-buy. The following terms apply to all BST activity:

• Listing platform only. Drop Beacon is a venue for connecting buyers and sellers. We are not a marketplace participant, buyer, seller, or broker in any transaction. All transactions are exclusively between the individual users involved.
• Transactions at your own risk. All B/S/T transactions are conducted entirely at the risk of the participating users. Drop Beacon makes no representations about any listing, item, or user.
• No verification. Drop Beacon does not verify item condition, authenticity, value, ownership, or any other representation made in a listing. Buyers are responsible for their own due diligence.
• No payment facilitation. Drop Beacon does not facilitate payments, hold funds in escrow, or process any financial transactions between users. Users are solely responsible for agreeing on and executing their own payment arrangements.
• No shipping involvement. Drop Beacon is not involved in shipping, delivery, or logistics of any kind. Users are solely responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs.
• Prohibited listings. Users agree not to post counterfeit, stolen, illegally obtained, or otherwise prohibited items. Listings for regulated items (e.g. items illegal in certain jurisdictions) are the sole responsibility of the poster.
• Moderation. Drop Beacon reserves the right to remove any listing or suspend any account at its sole discretion, including for violations of these terms or community standards.
• No liability for losses. Drop Beacon is not liable for any loss, damage, fraud, dispute, or harm arising from user-to-user transactions conducted through or facilitated by BST listings.

We strongly encourage users to follow safe transaction practices: research the other party, use payment methods with buyer protection, and meet in safe public locations for in-person exchanges.

User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account using your email address or a third-party OAuth provider (Google or Facebook). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service by automated means without our written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.

Affiliate Links

Some links on Drop Beacon may be affiliate links, meaning we earn a small commission if you make a purchase through them. This does not affect the price you pay. Affiliate relationships do not influence which products or brands appear on our platform.

Intellectual Property

The Drop Beacon name, logo, and original content are owned by us. Product names, logos, and images belong to their respective brand owners and are displayed under fair use for informational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that product information, pricing, or availability displayed on the Service is accurate or up to date. We are not responsible for the products, services, or practices of third-party brands linked from our platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drop Beacon and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
