Drop Beacon U.S. Army Pocket Knife Giveaway: Our 1988 Camillus + Its Chinese-Made Reproduction
Want both knives from our Army pocket knife film? We're giving away the pair: our own 1988 Camillus in the U.S. Army pattern, stamped U.S. on the handle, and the Chinese-made Marble's G.I. utility knife, a retail reproduction of the same pattern that carries a U.S. stamp too. One winner gets both, free, and Drop Beacon ships them to the winner's door.

What you can win
About this prize
The U.S. Army's pocket knife (MIL-K-818) packs four tools into a steel handle: a cutting blade, a can opener, a screwdriver that doubles as a cap lifter, and a leather punch. Camillus, in upstate New York, made it for decades until the factory closed in 2007. Our film follows what happened next, and why those two letters were a property mark, not a promise about where the knife was made. The Camillus is the one in the film: CAMILLUS 1988 on the blade tang and U.S. on the handle. Condition: pre-owned. The Marble's is the retail version we show in the film, with MR 278 and china on the tang, U.S. on the handle, and its box. We're not presenting it as the government's current knife. We bought both for the film and handled them on camera. How it works: signing up is free and takes one click. When the timer hits zero, 1 winner is drawn at random from all signups and gets both knives shipped to their door.

# Drop Beacon U.S. Army Pocket Knife Giveaway — Rules ## THE PRIZE One winner receives two folding pocket knives: a 1988 Camillus pocket knife in the U.S. Army pattern (U.S. on the handle, CAMILLUS 1988 on the blade tang; pre-owned) and a Marble's G.I. utility knife (a retail reproduction made in China, stamped U.S., with its box). Both were bought for our Army pocket knife film and handled on camera. Drop Beacon fulfills the prize. ## HOW TO ENTER Free entry. One ticket per Drop Beacon account. Sign in (or create an account) and click Enter Drawing before the timer hits zero. No purchase necessary, no payment information collected, ever. ## BONUS ENTRIES After entering, each entrant receives a personal share link. For every friend who enters this giveaway using that link, the original entrant earns +1 bonus entry — capped at 10 extra bonus entries. Self-referrals do not count, and a single friend can contribute only one bonus entry per referrer. Bonus entries are weighted identically to standard entries in the drawing — each represents one ticket in the random selection. ## DRAWING A single winner will be selected at random from all valid entries when the timer hits zero on the drawing date shown on this page. The drawing uses a cryptographically random shuffle (CSPRNG-seeded Fisher–Yates inside a row-locked transaction) so every entry has identical odds of being drawn. The drawing is automated and not subject to manual override. ## WINNER NOTIFICATION The winner will be notified via the email on their Drop Beacon account and displayed on the giveaway page within minutes of the drawing. The winner has 7 days to confirm their shipping address. If we do not hear back, a runner-up will be drawn from the remaining entries. We only ever contact winners by email from edc4me.com. We will never ask you to message us on Telegram, WhatsApp or social media, and we never ask for payment. ## SHIPPING Free shipping within the United States, fulfilled by Drop Beacon. The prizes are knives, so we can only ship to US addresses. ## KNIFE LAWS The prize is two small multi-tool folding pocket knives. The winner is responsible for making sure they are legal to own and carry where they live. We will not ship to a jurisdiction where they are restricted; if yours restricts them, the entry is void. ## ELIGIBILITY Open to US residents 18 or older. Void where prohibited by law. ## SPONSOR This giveaway is run by Drop Beacon. It is not sponsored or endorsed by Camillus, Marble's, the U.S. Army or any government agency.
