The Spyderco C223SBBK Para® 3 Lightweight CTS® BD1N Folding Knife is a compact, ultra-light evolution of the iconic Para Military® 2 design, engineered for everyday carry with maximum efficiency and reduced weight. By incorporating FRN construction and a streamlined Compression Lock®, it achieves a significant reduction in weight while maintaining strength, reliability, and cutting performance.

At its core is a full-flat-ground CTS® BD1N stainless steel blade, a nitrogen-enriched alloy known for its excellent balance of hardness, corrosion resistance, and edge retention. The blade features a clean, efficient cutting geometry optimized for everyday utility tasks, supported by Spyderco’s Trademark Round Hole™ for fast, ambidextrous one-handed opening.

The handle is constructed from injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) in a linerless, open-backed design. It features Bi-Directional Texturing™ for a secure, high-traction grip even in challenging conditions, while keeping the overall weight extremely low at approximately 2.4 oz.
