The Secondary Safety

The TR-4 carries a steel secondary safety, which is the feature that separates it from most automatics at this size. Four inches of blade firing on a spring is a lot of knife, and a safety that physically blocks the button means it fires when you decide it does and not when your pocket decides.

This is the reason the TR line ends up with people who carry a knife for work rather than for fun.

Saber Grind

A saber grind starts the bevel partway up the blade rather than at the spine, which leaves a thick spine and a strong edge. It slices a little worse than a flat grind and holds up considerably better. On a four inch automatic that is the right trade.

MagnaMax

MagnaMax is Crucible's newer steel, built to push hardness past MagnaCut while keeping the corrosion resistance. DLC on top adds abrasion resistance rather than just color.

Glass Breaker

The pommel carries a glass breaker, which is one of those features you will either never use or be very glad is there.

Why This One Stands Out

One hundred made, in a steel most dealers do not stock, on the Pro-Tech platform built for hard use.

Automatic knives are restricted in some places, so check your state and local law before you order.
