The Pro-Tech and Spartan Blades collaboration, in battleworn green with a mosaic pin button.
The Pallas is Pro-Tech's collaboration with Spartan Blades. This is the California Custom Knife Show build, a 3.7 inch DLC black MagnaCut blade on carbide textured battleworn green aluminum.
Note from Lone Star Knife and Supply: The carbide texture is the detail worth putting your hand on, because it grips like nothing else Pro-Tech does and you cannot tell from a photo.

The Carbide Texture
Carbide texturing is applied rather than milled. It leaves a hard, grippy surface across the aluminum that holds onto a hand in a way a machined pattern does not, and it is the thing people notice first when they pick one up.
Under battleworn green it also catches light unevenly, so the handle has depth that a smooth anodize does not.
1 of 60
Pro-Tech made sixty of these for the California Custom Knife Show and serialized every one. When the sixty are gone there is not a second run.
The Mosaic Pin Button
The button is where Pro-Tech spends its detail budget on a limited run. This one is a mosaic pin, which is a patterned rod set into the button face rather than a solid cap or an inlaid stone.
An Automatic
Push button automatics are restricted in a number of states and cities. Worth checking your state and local law before you order.
