The Fiddleback Forge Batesville Shed Runt was created to commemorate the short time I plan to work in my Granddaddy Woody's old shed.  The shed was constructed in 1946 when the brothers returned from fighting in WWII.  My grandads brother Ray who had fought in North Africa, Sicily and Italy storming five beaches during his fight returned home and became a furniture maker.  Eventually a master furniture maker.  The shed was his first shop.  He built it with his bare hands.  Most of the studs are oak.  

When I was forced to move my shop before my building on the property was done I renovated the shed, which thankfully had enough amps to run my knife business.  I even got all nostalgic thinking that it was a pretty neato place to make knives.  Then it got to be 95 degrees outside and I was much less nostalgic after that.  LOL.  So soon I will be moving the function part of the business again to the new building.

Anyway one evening while I was hanging out with my mom and dad in the cabin I drew up the Batesville Shed Runt.  I wanted a smaller companion knife for the Shed Knife.  The knife is a very pointy EDC knife with a 2.25" long blade and a 3.25" long handle.   Make no mistake, these are the type of small EDC that will get noticed.  They are comfortable to carry and use with a new design of Fiddleback handle.  I am very pleased with the hand feel as well.  

I hope you love it as much as I do.  Its very hard for me to let this first one go.
