DreamTech D3613MO – 3.15" D2 Folding Knife, Micarta Handle
The DreamTech D3613MO is the Micarta-handled version of DreamTech's D3613 folder. It runs the same 3.15" D2 tool steel blade and liner lock as the G10 versions of this model, but swaps the fiberglass scales for Micarta — a canvas-and-resin laminate that warms to the hand and develops a worn patina with use.
At 7.4" overall on a 4.25" handle, the DreamTech D3613MO is a mid-size everyday-carry folder: enough blade for real cutting, still comfortable clipped in a pocket all day.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Micarta and how does it differ from G10?
Micarta is layers of canvas, linen or paper soaked in resin and compressed under heat. Compared with the G10 used on the other D3613 variants, the Micarta on the DreamTech D3613MO feels warmer and slightly softer in the hand, and it grips better as it wears — the surface takes on a broken-in patina instead of staying uniform. G10 is harder and more abrasion-resistant; Micarta is more comfortable over long use.
Is D2 good knife steel?
D2 is a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel with excellent wear resistance, so it holds an edge much longer than budget stainless. The trade-off is that it takes more effort to resharpen and it is only semi-stainless, so the blade on the DreamTech D3613MO should be wiped dry after wet or acidic use. At 58–60 HRC it is a strong value choice for an EDC folder.
How big is the DreamTech D3613MO?
The DreamTech D3613MO has a 3.15" blade on a 4.25" handle, measuring 7.4" overall when open. That is a mid-size everyday carry folder — under the 3.5" blade threshold that many jurisdictions use, though you should always check your local blade-length laws before carrying.
How does the liner lock on the DreamTech D3613MO work?
A spring-tensioned steel liner inside the handle slides across the base of the blade once it is fully open, blocking it from closing. To fold the DreamTech D3613MO, push that liner sideways with your thumb and rotate the blade shut, keeping your fingers out of the blade path.
How do you care for the Micarta on the DreamTech D3613MO?
Very little is needed. Micarta is stable and water-resistant, so the scales on the DreamTech D3613MO can simply be wiped clean; the resin binder means they will not swell or rot. If the surface looks dry after heavy use, a light coat of mineral oil restores the colour depth.
