Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 31 - Insingo Magnacut & Glass Blasted Titanium w/ Box Elder Inlay

A Higher Standard

Improving upon the archetype OG titanium folder is no mean feat. But if anybody's going to get it done – it'd be CRK themselves. Excellence personified, this Large Sebenza 31 comes with the premium glass blasted finish which uses crushed glass to present a finer, tighter grain. The result is a super scratch-resistant, smooth finish that still maintains its overall grippiness.

Building on the storied pedigree of the Sebenza 21, the Large Sebenza 31 introduces a few small but critical innovations that elevate it to a whole new level of the blade. Firstly, the Large Sebenza 31 features a ceramic ball pressed into the end of the hardened titanium lock bar. Ceramic is harder than titanium, will not wear out as easily, and moves better in contact with steel. Combined with the tried-and-tested Reeve Integral lock, you get the signature warm 'click' and 'bank-vault' action of the Sebenza.

Next is the off-set pocket clip, which reduces the preload on the lock bar, along with the improved ergonomics of the handle. Subtle adjustments were made at the front of the handle and around the finger grooves for better handling and grip. The box elder inlay provides exceptional grip texture and distinctive wood character while adding natural, organic visual contrast against the glass blasted titanium scales. Each box elder inlay displays unique grain patterns with warm amber and burgundy tones that develop richer character and deeper hues over time, while the natural wood creates a refined, sophisticated aesthetic celebrating organic beauty.

What's more, due to the enhanced production process, the Large Sebenza 31 no longer has the hole on the presentation side (which was used to secure the scale in place). The tolerances of Chris Reeve Knives were already legendary, and this new process introduces a new level of precision that catapults the Large Sebenza 31 to the front of the pack.

On the business end, this Large Sebenza 31 features top-tier CPM Magnacut steel (63-64 HRC) in the signature Insingo blade profile. The Insingo's unique sweeping bellied design excels at slicing tasks with its continuously curved cutting edge, while the Magnacut steel delivers exceptional edge retention and corrosion resistance. With its graceful profile and premium materials, you can handle any EDC task with easy elegance. If you're curious about how Chris Reeve manages to improve upon perfection, you owe it to yourself to check this bad boy out.
