Drop Beacon MACV-SOG Knife Giveaway: Our SOG Bowie 2.0 from the Film
Want the knife from our MACV-SOG film? We're giving away our own SOG Combat Bowie 2.0, a modern reproduction of the knife MACV-SOG's Green Berets carried in Vietnam, and the one in our hands on camera. One winner gets it free, and Drop Beacon ships it to the winner's door.

What you can win
About this prize
The original was designed for SOG's recon teams in the 1960s and bought through a trading company in Japan. In 1986, SOG Specialty Knives was founded, and the company's own origin story begins with a reproduction of that knife. The Bowie 2.0 (S1T-L) is today's version: a 6.4-inch blade, a stacked-leather handle and a leather sheath. It is listed as made in Taiwan, and our film shows the stamp. This is the knife from the film: Drop Beacon's own, handled and unsheathed on camera. Condition: like new. It comes with its leather sheath and SOG box. How it works: signing up is free and takes one click. When the timer hits zero, 1 winner is drawn at random from all signups and gets the knife shipped to their door.
Rules
# Drop Beacon MACV-SOG Knife Giveaway — Rules ## THE PRIZE One winner receives a SOG Combat Bowie 2.0 (S1T-L), a fixed-blade knife with a 6.4-inch blade, a stacked-leather handle, a leather sheath and its SOG box. It is Drop Beacon's own knife, bought for our MACV-SOG film and handled and unsheathed on camera. Condition: like new. Drop Beacon fulfills the prize. ## HOW TO ENTER Free entry. One ticket per Drop Beacon account. Sign in (or create an account) and click Enter Drawing before the timer hits zero. No purchase necessary, no payment information collected, ever. ## BONUS ENTRIES After entering, each entrant receives a personal share link. For every friend who enters this giveaway using that link, the original entrant earns +1 bonus entry — capped at 10 extra bonus entries. Self-referrals do not count, and a single friend can contribute only one bonus entry per referrer. Bonus entries are weighted identically to standard entries in the drawing — each represents one ticket in the random selection. ## DRAWING A single winner will be selected at random from all valid entries when the timer hits zero on the drawing date shown on this page. The drawing uses a cryptographically random shuffle (CSPRNG-seeded Fisher–Yates inside a row-locked transaction) so every entry has identical odds of being drawn. The drawing is automated and not subject to manual override. ## WINNER NOTIFICATION The winner will be notified via the email on their Drop Beacon account and displayed on the giveaway page within minutes of the drawing. The winner has 7 days to confirm their shipping address. If we do not hear back, a runner-up will be drawn from the remaining entries. We only ever contact winners by email from edc4me.com. We will never ask you to message us on Telegram, WhatsApp or social media, and we never ask for payment. ## SHIPPING Free shipping within the United States, fulfilled by Drop Beacon. The prize is a knife, so we can only ship to US addresses. ## KNIFE LAWS The prize is a fixed-blade knife with a 6.4-inch blade and a sheath. The winner is responsible for making sure it is legal to own and carry where they live. We will not ship to a jurisdiction where it is restricted; if yours restricts it, the entry is void. ## ELIGIBILITY Open to US residents 18 or older. Void where prohibited by law. ## SPONSOR This giveaway is run by Drop Beacon. It is not sponsored or endorsed by SOG Specialty Knives, GSM Outdoors, the U.S. Army or any government agency.
