Wasps are friction folders and do not lock. They are also 3 3/4" overall long when open ( 1.5" blade ). With that said, they are small and not recommended for any heavy duty tasks. If carbidized Ti is an option these are for light duty only / paper / tape as the carbide can chip under hard use
