Timex 1990 Moon Phase Reissue 37mm Watch

The 1990 Moon Phase Reissue brings back a dial that was ahead of its time when it first launched, combining day, date, and lunar cycle tracking into one design that reads as both technical and decorative. Two outer rings handle the monthly calendar at a glance, kept visually distinct from the Arabic numeral hour markers by a printed rail track running between them.

The case measures 37mm across, 42.5mm lug-to-lug, and 10mm tall, in polished gold-tone stainless steel with a tiered bezel that frames the cream dial. A thin gold-tone ring ties the center of the dial together, wrapping around both the main hub and a dedicated moon phase window positioned just above it, where hand-illustrated lunar graphics track the current phase. A date window sits at 6 o'clock, adding a third data point to the dial without crowding the layout. The strap is a dark brown crocodile-grain leather, sourced through the Leather Working Group and fitted with quick-release spring bars, and a mineral crystal covers the dial for scratch resistance.

Timekeeping runs on a Timex quartz movement powered by an SR920SW battery, driving the hour and minute hands along with the day, date, and moon phase displays. The crown at 2 manages the days while the crown at 4 is responsible for the date of the month. Water resistance is rated to 50 meters.
