As many of you have already experienced, we take our customer requests very seriously at TRM. The Nerd has been very well-received, but many customers have said, “Make a BIG Nerd, too!” TRM has answered with the our Shadow. Our designers have been enamored with Benchmade’s patented Axis Lock™ for years. With the expiration of their patent, TRM decided it was the perfect locking mechanism (River-Lok) for our new Shadow.
Consistent with many of our models, the Shadow features a .090” thick CPM 20CV powdered metal steel blade for its renowned corrosion resistance and edge retention. Of course, the 3.2” blade edge is razor sharp right out of the box. We want you to USE our knives.
TRM tries to add a special detail for every model. Besides introducing the River-Lok, we have decided to machine removable tabs to fill the space milled on both sides for the deep pocket carry clip. Due to the more complex construction of the Shadow, scales are not going to be easily changeable.
TRM manufactures and assembles all of our knives in the USA utilizing US materials and suppliers. We are proud to etch USA on every blade.
