Spaceview 314 - Tuning Fork

Accutron brings back the technology that made its name: the tuning fork movement that once set the standard for accurate timekeeping. The Spaceview 314 takes its cues from the original 1960s model but opens the dial up entirely, putting the movement itself front and center rather than hiding it behind a solid face. It's offered in three configurations — two steel-cased versions on black or camel leather, and a titanium version with a blue strap and a different chapter-ring finish.

The steel versions use a 39mm polished 904L stainless steel case, while the titanium version swaps in a brushed grade 5 titanium case at a nearly identical 39mm diameter; case thickness sits around 13.3mm across the line. All three keep straight lugs and a crown positioned at 4 o'clock, and pair with an Italian calf leather strap closed by a double-press foldover clasp — black on the 26A211, camel brown on the 26A212, and blue on the 26A213. A domed sapphire crystal sits over the open dial, revealing a chapter ring finished in silver-tone on the steel models or champagne-tone on the titanium version, with LumiNova hour markers and a matching handset for legibility. Water resistance is rated for splash exposure only, in keeping with the watch's open-dial design.

Powering all three is the hand-assembled Accutron Caliber Y230, a modern take on the brand's original tuning fork technology. It vibrates at 360Hz to produce the tuning fork's signature F-sharp hum and a smooth, sweeping second hand, and holds accuracy to within two seconds per day. Silicium and Elinvar components improve the movement's efficiency and long-term durability, while hand-finishing techniques including anglage, perlage, and Côtes de Genève decorate the visible mechanism beneath the crystal
