The Benrus Sky Chief is a faithful reissue of a legendary aviation icon, originally introduced in 1940 as a purpose-built pilot’s chronograph for cockpit precision. Developed for professional aviators, the timepiece gained fame for its exceptional legibility and technical utility during the golden age of flight. This modern iteration preserves the heritage design language of the original, at just 36mm, while integrating premium Swiss craftsmanship and materials to meet contemporary standards.

The design is defined by its distinctive "porthole" effect, achieved through a slim bezel paired with a double-domed box sapphire crystal. This construction maximizes the view of the glossy lacquered sunburst dial, which features a classic tri-compax layout and aeronautical minute graduations for precise navigation calculations. Available in two sophisticated variants—Black (Stratus Grey) and White (Cirrus White)—each model is finished with high-performance BGW9 Super-LumiNova for superior visibility in low-light environments.

Beneath the dial, the Sky Chief is powered by a Swiss-made ETA 2894 automatic chronograph movement, which is visible through an open sapphire case back. This high-precision caliber is a COSC-certified chronometer, ensuring it meets the most rigorous standards for mechanical accuracy. Providing a reliable 42-hour power reserve and 100 meters of water resistance, the movement is housed in a compact 36mm stainless steel case that balances vintage proportions with modern durability.
