Shirogorov RKMP (CHARLES MARLOWE DESIGN)

The Shirogorov RKMP is a high-performance collaboration between the Shirogorov Brothers Workshop and renowned custom maker Charles Marlowe. This limited-edition piece (one of only 150) merges Marlowe’s “animalistic” design language with Shirogorov’s world-class engineering and the latest in high-end metallurgy.

Cutting-Edge Blade Steel: Bohler M398

The standout feature of this build is the M398 Microclean blade. M398 is the extreme evolution of the popular M390, specifically engineered for maximum wear resistance.

• Composition: With a significantly higher vanadium and carbon content than its predecessor, M398 offers approximately 30% more carbide volume, resulting in elite edge retention that ranks among the highest in the knife industry.

• Finish: The blade features stonewashed and satin polished flats, providing a refined two-tone aesthetic that highlights the complex Marlowe grinds.

Mechanical Mastery: SRRBS

While most high-end folders use ball bearings, this RKMP runs on the SRRBS (Single-Row Roller Bearing System).

• Contact Surface: Unlike spheres, the cylindrical rollers provide a linear contact point with the raceway. This significantly increases stability and prevents the “marring” of the titanium frame over time.

• Action: The result is a silky, hydraulic deployment that feels incredibly solid and reliable, typical of Shirogorov’s Custom Division-level builds.

Frame and Ergonomics

• Chassis: The Titanium frame lock handle features a fine textured milling pattern for enhanced grip without being overly abrasive.

• Weight Management: To maintain its nimble 3.6-ounce weight, the handle scales feature internal milled pockets, providing a balanced feel for a knife with an 8.00″ overall length.

• Aesthetics: The Blue anodized accents on the stonewashed titanium backspacer add a subtle pop of color to the otherwise tactical, monochromatic frame.
