About Rucking Weight Vest + Plates Bundle

INCLUDES PAIR OF CURVED RUCK PLATES

The World's Most Innovative Weight Vest

Breathe better when rucking or training — with our innovative Curved Ruck Plates (yes there’s a big hole in them, yes it works great), you can talk better to the person next to you, or push even harder in your training without suffocating your diaphragm. Combine breathing better with rucksack straps that disperse the weight expertly, and this is a best in class weight vest.

We believe that the more comfortable something is, the more you’ll want to use it. And given all the gains to be had from carrying weight, we hope you use it hard and have fun in the sun doing it.

Sizing: L is designed to fit most men. The front and back panels are identical across sizes, the difference is in the shoulder straps and cummerbund. As a result, the S may sit higher on bigger people.

FAQ

What weight should I get for a weighted vest?

If you’re new, start light. Most beginners choose 12.5lbs (6.25lb pair) to build confidence and consistency. Intermediate to advanced users typically choose 18.25lbs (9.25lb pair) depending on training intensity. A lighter vest you’ll actually use always beats a heavy vest that sits in the closet.

What weight vest is best for walking?

For walking and everyday movement, the ideal range is 9–20 lbs. This improves calorie burn, posture, and endurance without overwhelming your joints. Our Curved Ruck Plates make walking even easier by improving breathing efficiency.

What weighted vest should I get?

Choose a vest that prioritizes breathability, comfort, and stability. The GORUCK Weight Vest uses Curved Plates (for better breathing) and wide straps (for even weight distribution), making it the most comfortable high-performance vest for walking, training, and rucking.

What’s unique about GORUCK’s Curved Plates?

The open-center curvature allows your diaphragm to expand naturally, helping you breathe deeper and move faster. Traditional flat plates compress your chest and restrict airflow—ours solve that.

Does the vest bounce or shift during workouts?

No. The plate pocket locks the weight tight to your body to prevent shifting, rattling, or bounce—critical for runs, HIIT, and rucks.

Is this vest good for beginners?

Yes. The secure fit, breathable design, and lighter-weight plate options make it beginner-friendly while still offering enough load for long-term progression.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Every GORUCK vest is backed by our SCARS Lifetime Guarantee. If you break it, we fix it—no questions asked.
