North Mountain Blade Handcrafted Saxon Knife – W2 Hamon Blade with Copper Inlay

Inspired by the historic Saxon knives of Northern Europe, this piece combines rugged traditional character with refined handmade details. Handcrafted by the experienced craftsmen at North Mountain Blade, the blade is made from W2 tool steel and individually clay-hardened to reveal a natural hamon, giving every knife its own distinctive pattern. Hand-inlaid copper accents along the blade add warmth and a unique forged character.

The handle is shaped from highly figured wood, selected for its rich grain and natural depth. Genuine bovine bone fittings at the guard and pommel create a striking contrast, while the engraved decorative details further emphasize the knife’s traditional character.

Every knife is made and finished by hand by North Mountain Blade—from blade shaping, grinding, clay hardening, and heat treatment to the fitting of the wood, bone, and copper components. A handmade genuine leather sheath completes the piece, providing both protection and a classic presentation.
