The Mini Pen is the compliment to larger Tuff Writer models, providing the same core strengths in a bit smaller overall package. It is entirely modular with each component being easily replaceable and built to last a lifetime.
The core utilizes an all metal body machined out of 6061-T6 Aluminum. This makes for a light yet strong Pen, perfect for all day note taking. The mid-sized profile is ergonomic with full hand contact, and features scalloping in the center for increased grip and control when not writing.
To ensure proper balance and amazing strength, the TUFF Tip is machined out of 303 Stainless Steel. This protects the tip from drops, and doubles as a window breaker and durable impact interface.
Each Mini Pen features the EXAKTFIT adjustable ink cartridge spacer. This lets you dial in how much of the ink cartridge tip extends out of the pen tip (and lets you overcome some ink maker's lack of manufacturing tolerances).
Keeping the Pen in place is our TUFF Clip, cold pressed and heat treated spring steel with a durable black powdercoat finish. The TUFF Clip profile makes for easy and fast one-handed clipping, strong retention, and a low-profile, classy look.
Finally for grip and comfort, the pen body has removable contrasting black o-rings which assist in maintaining a positive grip on the pen when you need it most.
The Mini Pen is "sterile", meaning there are no identifying marks, no logos and no engravings on this pen. Just sleek styling and robust construction.
The Press Mech: These Pens feature our famous 416SS machined "Press" advancing mechanism. The two piece bearing-cam design makes for a for silky smooth operation (so smooth, it doesn’t even "click"). Works like a normal click pen, but is built to last a lifetime of real world use and abuse.
Ideal Users: The Mini Pen is designed for anyone that needs a robust, bombproof writing tool, but in a smaller form factor. The slimmer profile is perfect for normal writing conditions, but is robust enough for gloved work or users with big mitts. Despite its TUFF posture, the Mini Pen still will be as at home in a professional or office environment as it would in the field or abroad.
