Guru Beads - Standard Metal Editions
Aroundsquare’s Guru Beads are a range of end beads designed to customize and close up any fixed-length mala set. All options feature a T-shaped bore, allowing the cords to feed in from the sides and come out parallel at the bottom for a clean look. The cords will not lock in place and do require knots. We recommend that you watch one of our tutorials for more information on how to thread and secure the cords.
The Guru Beads can be used with any of the beads we sell for our Ultras, but look particularly sharp with our Commons, Mílos beads, 10mm or 11.8mm beads, and Mini Sigmas. The Guru beads were designed in conjunction with our Bodhi beads, and look terrific with them, but note that the Bodhi beads are currently not available for purchase, and are instead given away individually, one per order.
Square Guru Bead
These angular guru beads are designed to close up any mala set, and work particularly nicely with smaller bead sizes. They feature a 12mm cubical bead with a T-shaped bore to accommodate the two strands of cord feeding into it, along with a smaller square bead in place of the usual stupa to help stabilize the cords before the knots.

20mm Guru Beads
Our 20mm Boss Guru Beads are an oversized spherical bead that pairs nicely with almost any of the beads in our range. The weight and feel is one of a kind, and if you’re using the sets for breath work or meditation, the large bead serves as a contrasting differentiator compared to most other beads. These are available in Titanium, Copper, Brass, and Stainless Steel. They feature a T-shaped three hole bore arrangement, which allows the cord to come in from the two sides, and for both strands to come parallel out the bottom. The 20mm spherical Boss gurus can be purchased as stand-alone beads, or with a matching Stupa bead for a more traditional look.

Standard Guru Beads
Aroundsquare’s Guru Beads are our take on the ubiquitous T- or Y-shaped lock bead used to pull together bead strands on mala sets and similar, all around the world. They have a two-part construction, including an oversized main bead, drilled out with a T-shaped bore, and a smaller secondary bead through which the two strands of cord pass before exiting. These beads are optimized for use on mala-style sets, intended for breathwork, bead counting, meditation, or mindfulness practice. They can be used with slack on the cord to create a slingable set similar to our MKUltras, but the separation of the two cord strands makes it slightly more difficult to control such sets during flipping.
