Questions & Answers

How light is the Bestechman Cicada's Wing BMK06Q?

The Bestechman Cicada's Wing BMK06Q weighs just 2.03 oz (57.5g) — making it one of the lightest knives in the entire Cicada's Wing lineup. The blue patterned resin scales are the key: compared to the stainless steel handle variants like the BMK06-S series (3.95 oz), the BMK06Q is nearly half the weight while using the same B-Lock and blade platform.

What does the blue patterned resin handle look like?

The Bestechman BMK06Q handle features blue patterned resin scales with an organic, swirled pattern that makes each knife visually unique. Resin handles are lightweight, moisture-resistant, and don't require the maintenance that natural wood needs, making them a practical and visually distinctive choice.

What steel and finish is the Bestechman BMK06Q blade?

The Bestechman Cicada's Wing BMK06Q uses 10Cr15MoV steel with a satin finish, hardened to 59-61 HRC. The satin finish gives the blade a clean, refined appearance and is easy to touch up over time. 10Cr15MoV provides solid edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance for everyday carry.

What lock does the Bestechman BMK06Q use?

The Bestechman Cicada's Wing BMK06Q features the B-Lock, Bestechman's proprietary button lock. It provides a very secure lockup and enables fast, convenient one-handed opening and closing.

How does the BMK06Q compare to the stainless steel Cicada's Wing variants?

The Bestechman BMK06Q and BMK06-S series all share the Cicada's Wing platform — same 3.15" blade, same B-Lock, same 7.205" OAL — but the BMK06Q's blue patterned resin scales make it dramatically lighter (2.03 oz vs 3.95 oz) and give it a vibrant aesthetic the stainless variants can't match. If everyday weight is a priority and you want a pop of color, the BMK06Q is the pick.
