The SRK (Survival Rescue Knife) was designed by Cold Steel founder Lynn Thompson for survival and rescue work, and Cold Steel calls it the standard issue knife for Navy SEAL training. Until January 2007 it was made in the USA in Carbon V, Cold Steel's proprietary carbon steel. Then it moved to Japanese AUS 8A, and today it's SK-5 steel, made in Taiwan. No US-made Carbon V SRK has been made since. This one is a #38CK with the Concealex sheath, which dates it to 2000 to 2004, the years Cold Steel's American production was very likely at Camillus Cutlery in upstate New York. The blade is stamped COLD STEEL / CARBON V / MADE IN USA, with SRK on the other side. Specs: 6" Carbon V blade, 3/16" thick, black epoxy powder-coat finish, Kraton handle, about 8.2 oz. Condition: new old stock, handled for the film. How it works: signing up is free and takes one click. When the timer hits zero, 1 winner is drawn at random from all signups and gets the SRK shipped to their door.
# Drop Beacon Cold Steel SRK (Carbon V) Giveaway — Rules ## THE PRIZE One winner receives a Cold Steel SRK (#38CK) in Carbon V steel, made in the USA (c. 2000–2004), in its original box with its Concealex sheath. It is new old stock, handled for filming. Drop Beacon fulfills the prize. ## HOW TO ENTER Free entry. One ticket per Drop Beacon account. Sign in (or create an account) and click Enter Drawing before the timer hits zero. No purchase necessary, no payment information collected, ever. ## BONUS ENTRIES After entering, each entrant receives a personal share link. For every friend who enters this giveaway using that link, the original entrant earns +1 bonus entry — capped at 10 extra bonus entries. Self-referrals do not count, and a single friend can contribute only one bonus entry per referrer. Bonus entries are weighted identically to standard entries in the drawing — each represents one ticket in the random selection. ## DRAWING A single winner will be selected at random from all valid entries when the timer hits zero on the drawing date shown on this page. The drawing uses a cryptographically random shuffle (CSPRNG-seeded Fisher–Yates inside a row-locked transaction) so every entry has identical odds of being drawn. The drawing is automated and not subject to manual override. ## WINNER NOTIFICATION The winner will be notified via the email on their Drop Beacon account and displayed on the giveaway page within minutes of the drawing. The winner has 7 days to confirm their shipping address. If we do not hear back, a runner-up will be drawn from the remaining entries. We only ever contact winners by email from edc4me.com. We will never ask you to message us on Telegram, WhatsApp or social media, and we never ask for payment. ## SHIPPING Free shipping within the United States, fulfilled by Drop Beacon. The prize is a fixed-blade knife, so we can only ship to US addresses. ## KNIFE LAWS The prize is a fixed-blade knife with a 6-inch blade. The winner is responsible for making sure it is legal to own and carry where they live. We will not ship to a jurisdiction where it is restricted; if yours restricts it, the entry is void. ## ELIGIBILITY Open to US residents 18 or older. Void where prohibited by law. ## SPONSOR This giveaway is run by Drop Beacon. It is not sponsored or endorsed by Cold Steel, GSM Outdoors, Camillus or the U.S. Navy.
