The Korvid is a friction folder and does not lock. They are also 3 3/4" overall long when open ( 1.5" blade ). With that said, they are small and not recommended for any heavy duty tasks so common sense applies! If carbidized Ti is an option these are for light duty only / paper / tape as the carbide can chip under hard use.
