Hiroshi Suzuki is a master Japanese knife maker with over 35 years of hands-on experience, known for his refined craftsmanship and precise detailing. His work is heavily influenced by Bob Loveless, the legendary American knifemaker who played a pivotal role in shaping the Japanese custom knife scene in the late 20th century.

🛠 Suzuki’s Craftsmanship

Suzuki began learning metalwork at a young age in his family's factory in Saitama Prefecture, where they made precision nail clippers. This early training laid the technical foundation for his future in knife making.

Since the 1980s, Suzuki has been producing handcrafted knives featuring:

• Mirror-polished blades

• Tapered tangs

• Drop point designs

• High-end materials like VG-10, Damascus steel, exotic hardwoods, and stag horn

While he crafts a variety of knife types — including hunting knives, tactical knives, and traditional Japanese folding knives — his most iconic works are refined adaptations of Loveless-style designs.
