The Plague Doctor is a clip decoration. It is designed for MAXDOC. Whether in terms of theme or styling, the Plague Doctor is a perfect match for MAXDOC. Better still, it can perfectly cover the two screws on MAXDOC clip.
There is a groove on the back of the Plague Doctor, which can perfectly fit a clip with a width of 8mm. The fixing method is to use a central screw, so there must be a hollow groove in the middle of the clip. If you have other hollow clips with a width slightly larger or smaller than 8mm, they can also be installed.
There is an LED light and two batteries in the package. The LED light is controlled by magnetism. When one end of the magnet is brought close to it, the LED light turns on; when the other end is brought close, the LED goes out.
There are two materials available:
Cupron version: The main body is made of cupronickel. The cross on the hat, the cross on the collar, and the beak are made of brass. The three crosses on the beak are also made of brass.
Silver version: The main body is made of 925 silver. The cross on the hat, the cross on the collar, and the beak are made of brass. The three crosses on the beak are made of silver to create a color separation effect.
All the pictures and videos show the silver version. (Because there is no sample for the cupron version) Due to the aging process, there isn’t much difference in color between the cupron and the silver versions. The main difference lies in the color of the three crosses on the beak.
The maker said that there would be a small number of golden color beak version mixed in the packages as an Easter egg version.
Important installation instructions for the Plague Doctor
1. Unless you want to cover the screw hole on the clip, do not remove the cap. Just tighten the fixing screws on the cap.
2. The screws for fixing the cap are one-time use screws. After one installation, new screws need to be replaced.
3. The screw holes of the cap and the main body must be aligned. You can zoom in the camera of your phone to the maximum to help with the observation.
