Use Drop Beacon in your AI assistant

Drop Beacon runs a free, read-only connector for Claude, ChatGPT and any app that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Ask your assistant about everyday-carry gear and it can check live prices across retailers, tell you whether a price is a deal, and find new drops and giveaways. No account or key is needed.

Add it

Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, then paste the URL. Leave authentication empty.
ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → turn on developer mode, then create a connector with the URL and no authentication.
Other MCP clients: add a remote server using Streamable HTTP at the URL above. A local package is also available: npx -y drop-beacon-mcp (source).

Every tool only reads public catalog data. Nothing can be bought, changed or posted through the connector.

Data and privacy

Your assistant sends Drop Beacon only what a tool needs, such as a product name. We never see your conversation, and there is no login.
We don't store your search terms. We count tool calls per day, by tool and by the app that made them. Our host processes IP addresses to apply rate limits.
Prices are what Drop Beacon last observed at each retailer and can change. The retailer's page is authoritative at checkout.
