For years, community members have been asking us for exotic components for our popular modular knucklebone design. It took a long time, but it's been worth the wait. We are excited to introduce our modular knucklebone knobs in stunning zircuti material.
The elegant zircuti material is forged from folded layers of titanium and zirconium, then precision machined, polished, and torched to create eye-popping colour patterns, reminiscent of wood grain. When machined to our specifications, the grains of the material become exposed in a way that accentuates the appearance of the curves, creating a beautiful topographic relief.
Each piece is distinct, with its own grain patterns. This edition is only available polished, and they are stunning. The photos provided are all unedited, and shot with bright indoor lighting, to give a true depiction of what you’ll be getting. The pieces depicted are quite representative of the range. The polished finish is durable in normal use, but will eventually show scratches and may fade through repeated contact with other pocket items etc.
NOTE: Please note that due to the modularity of the design, you will feel a slight transition between the grips and the knobs on these. With each production run, machine calibrations vary ever so slightly, and we have in fact changed the specifications of our middle grips a little bit over the years. For this reason, if you have some of our older inventory modular grips in your collection, you may find there's a slight hot spot at the transition from grip to knob. For this reason, we're shipping the zircuti knobs with a free slim middle grip of newer vintage, which is a fantastic match that accentuates the knobs to really show off the material.
