Deadeye Donut Hollows - Standard Metal Editions

The generous proportions and simple design of the Deadeye Donut Hollows make them a delight to hold and manipulate. Their design combines the handling and feel of standard deadeyes with our slimmer hollow versions, creating a versatile object that works beautifully as a simple worry coin and offers endless possibilities for flowy manipulation as well. 

Their most striking feature of the heavy metal editions is definitely their substantial heft. This turns out to be great from a mindfulness standpoint, because they make their presence felt in a way that lighter materials simply don’t. Their extra weight also improves contact coin style manipulations, such as the isolations, by adding stability and making them more forgiving. The polished finish adds just enough grip for control without compromising fluid movement.

With a 10mm cross-sectional diameter—much thicker than our original Hollows but the same outer size—these feel more substantial and ergonomic in hand, making them great for manipulations as well as just general handling. Interestingly, they’re in many ways more conducive to manipulations than the original Hollows. However users familiar with the slimmer Hollows may need a short adjustment period, as they handle a bit more like the original deadeyes themselves rather than a Hollow. Whether you're into manipulation or just appreciate simple, elegant objects like our Nowhere Planks, these Donut Hollows make a deeply satisfying carry piece.

General Information On the Deadeye Coins

Aroundsquare’s Deadeyes are part skill toy, part worry stone, part mind control device. Roll them between your fingers, or press use your thumb into the smooth contour and breath deep to dissolve the stresses of daily life.

These contact coins are designed to be handled and manipulated. On the surface, the Deadeyes look like just a refined worry stone made from metal, and they certainly serve well for that. They are precisely crafted and beautifully finished, with an ergonomic indent on either side that is perfect for thumbs of any size. But as you’d expect from AO2, there’s more to it than that. The concave shape and resulting ridge around the perimeter make the Deadeyes perfect for contact-style manipulation. With practice, they can be made to roll fluidly between the fingers, or back and forth over the thumbs, and isolations can be performed where the coins appear to be floating around the fingertips.
